by accident a few hours ago i found myself distracted by e! entertainment‘s fashion police commenting on the red carpet arrivals of the artists at the grammy awards last sunday. britney spears was their choice for worst dressed, but imogen heap was given honorable mention in that category. one e! commentator described her look as “two words. aw ful“.
awful means terrible and is in fact only one word (two syllables). it is used in this example as two words to make a joke.
awfully dark
on the other hand, the panel of fashion cops generally agreed that lady gaga was a fashion hit and one of them said imogen was a poorman’s gaga. ms heap’s accesories do look trashier, but the two singers create different feelings with their music, so it is logical to see that difference come through in fashion as well.
awfully pale
the fashion po-po also agreed that t-pain was the worst dressed male at the grammys. haters. probably jealous from when he was on a boat.
a lack of glamour. blame it on the alcohol?

in addition to fashion police, e! entertainment also has a gossip show called the awful truth, just like the michael moore show that we saw in a vid in my edufire course earlier this week.
